Background/History: From: http://www.comicvine.com/hulk/29-2267/

Dr. Robert Bruce Banner was born to Dr. Brian Banner and his wife Rebecca. Rebecca loved Bruce very much, but her drunken husband Brian was jealous of the attention she gave to their son. Brian also thought that Bruce wasn't human due to genetic modifications Brian had made to himself. One day Brian killed his wife and was placed in a mental institution. Bruce would grow up hiding all his pain and live with his aunt Mrs. Drake. Dr. Robert Bruce Banner grew up to be a brilliant scientist and started working for the U.S. Department of Defense, in charge of an experimental Gamma Bomb.

A teenager named Rick Jones took a dare from some friends to drive inside of an off-limits Military-run atomic testing range seconds before a powerful Gamma-ray Bomb was due to be detonated. The scientist/physicist Bruce Banner had selflessly endangered himself to save the life of a boy whom had wandered onto the grounds of a secret military bomb testing range just moments before the detonation of the top secret Gamma Bomb. Banner told his colleague, Igor Starsky (real name Igor Drenkov) to hold the test, but Igor was a Soviet agent and did no such thing. Hoping for Banner's death, and the end of his project, Igor allowed the test to continue. Dr. Banner then dashed to the teenager and sped with him towards a nearby trench. Frantically, Dr. Banner hurled Rick Jones into the crevice where the teenager was shielded from the mysterious, menacing Gamma Rays. But, at that very second, standing in the open, exposed and un-sheltered, the heroic Bruce Banner absorbed the full impact of the gamma explosion, even though the center of the blast was a good five miles away. His ear-piercing screams filled the desert air, as the scientist lost all sense of time and space. As a strange, awesome change took place in the atomic structure of his body. A short time later,

Dr. Banner regained consciousness at the base hospital, with Rick Jones standing by his side. Rick Jones swore never to leave Dr. Banner again. During the rescue, Banner's body was irradiated by the gamma blast which, when combined with his own unique genetics, led to the birth of the Incredible Hulk. As the sun set, the Geiger counter on a nearby table began to tick louder and louder until Bruce Banner had turned into the most dangerous living creature on earth.

Version: The Professor or Merged Hulk. This is the Hulk with Banner more or less in control. Though he can still go into rages and his strength is terrifying, he's more about using his might intelligently.

Personality/Motivation: This is Banner's unrepressed personality; he's brave, smart, decisive, and the hero he wants to be. Direct and straight-forward, Bruce lacks the passive-aggressive simmering anger he's carried around, instead is more actively aggressive and isn't about to let others dictate to him. That said, he wants to do the right thing and works well with others. He has a bit of an overconfident streak in him, but not so you'd notice.

Quote: "You wouldn't like me when I'm angry."

Powers/Tactics: This version of the Hulk fights like someone with a lot of experience and genius intellect to command his superhuman strength. He doesn't lose his cool as easily as other versions and as a consequence doesn't get to tap his Adrenaline Surge at will. To compensate, he's much smarter at how he uses his strength.

Campaign Use: This is a more heroic version of the Hulk. Dr. Banner is available for all your Physics-based Questions.

Appearance: The Hulk is a classic heroic monster, human enough to evoke sympathy and display recognizable emotion, and monstrous enough to evoke fear. He has been displayed in wildly different sizes, but this is a good average, 7'7" tall and over 1100 lbs of petulant muscle. His skin is a bright green with his oft mussed hair darker, almost black, and his eyes blue...just kidding! They're green.

He spent much of his career in tattered purple pants. This version tends to dress better, though his clothes rarely survive his lifestyle. My fave look is blue cargo pants (with spots for gadgets), and a black muscle shirt.
